bins.ren (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application (the “App”), which provides bin collection schedules based on your selected location.

2. Data Collected

2.1 Personal Information

We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise device location.

2.2 Usage Analytics

To understand and improve app functionality, we use Firebase Google Analytics, configured expressly without the User ID feature. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; it cannot be traced back to any individual device or user.

2.3 Advertising Identifiers

For the purpose of serving ads, we may access your device’s advertising identifier (e.g., Google Advertising ID). This identifier is not linked to any personal information and is used solely by AdMob to serve non-personalised ads.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We do not use cookies or device-level local storage to track you across apps or websites. Firebase Analytics and AdMob use their own internal mechanisms to collect event data and ad impressions, but these do not involve cookies under our control.

4. Third-Party Services

Non-Personalised Ads: AdMob delivers ads based on contextual factors (e.g. app content, general location at a country or city level) rather than user profiling or interest-based targeting.

5. How Data Is Used

• App Improvement: Analyze anonymous usage trends (e.g. which screens are most viewed, app crashes) to prioritize feature enhancements and bug fixes.
• Ad Reporting: Measure ad impressions and clicks to ensure ad delivery and to optimize revenue without profiling users.

Under no circumstances do we combine analytics data or ad identifiers with any PII.

6. Opt-Out & Control

Analytics Opt-Out

You can disable Firebase Analytics by opting out of analytics collection in your device settings (Android: “Opt out of Ads Personalization”; iOS: “Limit Ad Tracking”).

Ads Opt-Out

To opt out of personalized advertising across apps, use your device’s advertising settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Opt out of Ads Personalization”
• iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking → “Allow Apps to Request to Track” (toggle off)

Note: Since we serve only non-personalised ads, opting out may not completely remove ads but will prevent AdMob from collecting your advertising identifier.

7. Data Security

We do not store any PII on our servers or in the App. All communication between the App and our external data sources is encrypted over HTTPS.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can remove such data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
